Local businesses and households can now drop off their organic waste at the farm every Wednesday 9 AM-1 PM

In the first six months of its zero waste program Miguel Hidalgo has implemented a proper waste management system, created a living classroom through its pollinator garden, and significantly reduced single-use plastics!

Many people who grew up outside of Mexico are accustomed to a system in which the government assumes the bulk of the responsibility for their waste, picking it up for them and taking it “away”. In Baja, much more personal involvement is required.
